Our Church

Living Waters Community Church in Hoffman Estates (LWCC) was established in 2023 with the purpose of spreading the true Gospel and the message of Christ within the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. We are a multi-generational and multi-ethnic congregation, and we welcome everyone, regardless of race, age, or gender, to join us for worship and fellowship.

"Living Waters" refers to God, who is the fountain of Living Waters (Jeremiah 2:13), God's Word, which is the stream of nourishment for our souls (Psalm 1:2-3), and Jesus Christ, the source of living water producing a spring that wells to eternal life (John 4). We encourage you to come and hear the powerful message of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

About the Bible
We believe the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts.

About Human Beings
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

About Salvation
Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his/her life by faith.

About Eternal Security
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot "lose" it. Salvation is maintained by the grace of power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.

About Eternity
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

Beliefs of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA)

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.

We believe that salvation is by God alone as He sovereignly chooses those He will save. We believe His choice is based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises.

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him. We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.

We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
